Owner Surrender and Rehoming
Rehoming
All Kind understands that sometimes it may be necessary to find your pet a new home.
We do our very best to find families for the incoming animals, however shelters are not the best place for your furry loved ones and should be used as a last resort.
Owners need to demonstrate that they have done all they could to keep their animal and have attempted to rehome their pet at least 10 days prior to requesting an owner surrender appointment at the shelter.
Here are some things you can do to find your pet a new home without taking it to the shelter:
Resources we offer to help you keep your pet
Free Pet Food Pantry
Free and Low Cost Vaccinations
Free Supplies (when available)
If you would like to keep your pet but need assistance, please contact us at

When Surrendering May Not be the Solution
Our goal is to find every pet a safe, appropriate, and lasting home. However, some behavioral concerns may significantly limit or prevent a pet's ability to be safely adopted.
If your pet has a history of serious aggression toward people or other animals, or other severe behavioral issues that make placement unsafe or unlikely, our team will discuss all available options with you, including the possibility of humane euthanasia. These conversations are never taken lightly and are based on the safety and welfare of both the animal and the community.
Pets that exhibit aggression toward our staff or cannot be safely handled are not eligible for adoption. Additionally, while some pets that need to be the only animal in a home can be successfully placed, these homes are extremely limited, making rehoming much more challenging.
We encourage you to share as much information as possible about your pet's behavior so we can make the most appropriate recommendations and determine the best path forward.
