Microchipping

All pets should wear ID tags on their collar with the name and contact information of their owner. In addition to personalized pet ID tags, microchips are a great tool to help you be reunited with your furry friend if they become lost.

A microchip is a small device, about the size of a grain of rice, that contains a unique number used to identify animals when scanned by a shelter or vet. The number is used to find the owner's contact information, meaning owners should always keep their information up to date. The microchip does not contain any GPS tracking capabilities.

All Kind provides public microchipping services for cats and dogs for a fee of $20. Call the shelter at 325-698-0035 to make an appointment.
