Reclaiming Your Pet

Pets can be excellent escape artists! If your pet is lost, there is a high likelihood that it has ended up at the shelter.

PLEASE come get your pets!! 

Due to the exceptionally high number of animals entering our shelter and the resulting overcrowding, stray animals are held for a mandatory three-day stray hold. After that period, they become eligible for adoption or transfer to a rescue partner, which may be located out of state. In some cases, animals with severe, untreatable injuries or those that present significant safety concerns due to aggression may be considered for humane euthanasia.

Owner Reclaim Policy

  • We understand that sometimes pets get lost, so the fees are partially waived for the first time your pet is brought in.

    Spayed/ Neutered Animal:

    • Impound fee: NA

    • Daily boarding fee: NA

    • Microchip fee: $15 (if needed)

    • Rabies vaccination: $20 (waived with proof of vaccine-includes tag and vaccine)

    Unaltered Animal:

    • Impound fee: $25

    • Daily boarding fee: $5/day

    • Microchip fee: $15 (if needed)

    • Rabies vaccine: $20 (waived if owner can provide proof of current rabies vaccine-includes tag and vaccine)

  • Spayed/ Neutered Animal:

    • Impound fee: $25

    • Daily boarding fee: $5/day

    • Rabies vaccine: $20 (includes tag and vaccine-waived if up to date)

    Unaltered Animal:

    • Spay/Neuter fee: $100 (surgery must be complete before animal can leave the shelter)

    • Daily boarding fee: $5/day

    • Rabies vaccine: $20 (includes tag and vaccine-waived if up to date)

  • Spayed/ Neutered Animal:

    • Impound fee: $50

    • Daily boarding fee: $5/day

    • Rabies vaccine: $20 (includes tag and vaccine-waived if up to date)

    Unaltered Animal:

    • Spay/Neuter fee: $100 (surgery must be complete before animal can leave the shelter)

    • Daily boarding fee: $5/day

    • Rabies vaccine: $20 (includes tag and vaccine-waived if up to date)

You can reclaim your pet from All Kind Animal Initiative anytime Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 2 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM or Sunday 1 PM to 5 PM. Please bring proof of ownership (adoption paperwork, vet records, photos of your pet, etc.) to help us verify ownership. You should also bring proof of rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if you have it to avoid incurring additional fees.
